Sarah Wollaston
Prior to becoming Conservative MP for Totnes, Wollaston was a GP and police surgeon, and has spoken out publicly about the dangers of lack of diversity in the House, calling Cameron’s government “too white, too male, and too privileged”. In 2017, she was the only Conservative MP to rebel against the government and vote in favour of Labour’s motion to suspend Universal Credit, and voted against Syrian airstrikes in 2013, although she later voted in favour in 2015 following the Tunisia attacks.
