Obviously, the courage of each of the Independent Group/Change UK MPs to relinquish their positions within the major parties speaks for itself. But such commitment to independent-mindedness, preserving individual integrity sometimes over established party line, can also be seen earlier in each of their parliamentary careers. Many of TIG’s MPs couldn’t be further from the stereotypical ‘career politician’, instead coming from business, professional, or academic backgrounds which overall gives TIG an insight into what really works in the real world outside Westminster.
